The Asian Pacific Islander Caucus of the Council for Exceptional Children is a network of educators and researchers interested in advancing the education of Asian/Pacific Islander children with disabilities and supporting the professional advancement of Asian/Pacific Islander special educators and researchers. The Asian/Pacific Islander Caucus serves as a forum for pre-service students, faculty, researchers, PK-12 educators, and administrators to exchange information, share concerns, and make recommendations to CEC.
VISION STATEMENT
It is the vision of the Asian Pacific Islander Caucus of the Council for Exceptional Children that all PK-12 students with disabilities are appropriately served regardless of ethnic, religious, or socioeconomic, language, familial, school of attendance, or immigration status.
MISSION STATEMENT
It is the mission of the Asian Pacific Islander Caucus of the Council for Exceptional Children to promote fair and appropriate education and treatment for API students in the PK-16 education system by providing a voice for them. We welcome participation and voice from everyone.
